The 60s and 70s fashion is back in style and so is the white boots trend. Today’s look is featuring a new pair of white platform boots that I got from Public Desire that make my disco fever go up.
Los años 60 y 70 vuelven a estar de moda, así como también la tendencia de las botas blancas. En el look de hoy les voy a mostrar un nuevo par de botas blancas con plataforma de Public Desire que hacen que mi fiebre disco suba.
White boots became a huge trend back in the 60s, where Mod fashion was all the rage and the Moon landing sparkled a huge interest in space and futuristic style (like the Moon Girl looks by André Courreges). These boots, with a high calf and a low heel, were called Go-Go boots -in relation to the Go-Go dancers- and were used by pretty much everyone: from Bond girls to Nancy Sinatra, and rapidly became a symbol of the 60s and 70s eras.
Las botas blancas se convirtieron en una gran tendencia en los años 60, donde la moda Mod era furor y el aterrizaje en la Luna despertó un gran interés en el espacio y el estilo futurista (como los looks Moon Girl de André Courreges). Estas botas, de caña alta y taco medio bajo, se llamaban botas Go-Go -en relación a las bailarinas Go-Go- y eran utilizadas por casi todo el mundo: desde las chicas Bond hasta Nancy Sinatra, y rápidamente se convirtieron en un símbolo de las décadas de los 60s y 70s.
Now let’s talk a little bit about today’s outfit; the boots I’m wearing are a great mix of the 60s and the 70s fashion trends, with the white boots being from the former and the platforms the latter. I decided to wear a lilac knitted turtleneck that was my mom’s, my pair of Levi´s jeans and a white blazer I got from one of my favorite vintage stores in Buenos Aires. To accessorize, I added a pair of handmade cow print hoops (their Instagram), two gold chain necklaces, one of my favorite sunglasses from ZeroUV and my baguette bag.
Ahora hablemos un poquito sobre el look de hoy; las botas que tengo puestas son una gran mezcla de las tendencias de los años 60 y 70, siendo las botas blancas de la primera y las plataformas de la segunda. Decidí usar una polera lila que era de mi mamá, mi par de jeans Levi´s y un blazer blanco que compré en una de mis tiendas vintage favoritas de Buenos Aires. Para complementar, agregué un par de aros con estampado de vaca hechos a mano (compralos acá), dos cadenas de oro, una de mis gafas de sol favoritas de ZeroUV y mi cartera baguette.

These pictures where taken last Sunday by one of my closest friends, Luisina. We had planned to go to one of the most beautiful museums in Buenos Aires but we were told that we had to book an appointment online to get in, so we spent the day walking around the city instead. Her brother came with us and we all had a great time! I’m extremely greatful to have a friend like her, she’s one of the few people who truly knows me and she’s one of my biggest supporters.
Estas fotos fueron tomadas el domingo pasado por una de mis amigas más cercanas, Luisina. Habíamos planeado ir a uno de los museos más hermosos de Buenos Aires, pero nos dijeron en la puerta que teníamos que hacer una reserva por internet para entrar, así que pasamos el día caminando por la ciudad. Su hermano vino con nosotras y tuvimos un gran día. Estoy muy agradecida de tener una amiga como ella, es una de las pocas personas que realmente me conoce y me apoya en todo.
