Envy kills, or that’s what the saying says… being envious only affects us. The constant comparison is a poison that destroys us.
La envidia mata, o eso es lo que dice el dicho… ser envidioso sólo nos afecta a nosotros mismos. La comparación constante es un veneno que nos destruye.
We have to understand that we are all different and our lives and timing also are; what one is doing at 20 years of age, another does at 40; and that’s perfect, there is no established or correct age to do things.
Tenemos que entender que todos somos diferentes y nuestras vidas y tiempos lo son también; lo que uno está haciendo a los 20, otro lo hace a los 40; y eso está perfecto, no hay una edad establecida o correcta para hacer las cosas.
Lately, with the rise of social media, we imagine the lives of those who we aspire to be as perfect: we see these young adults (most of the time) traveling the world, having a glamorous life, a great job success and an apparent personal fulfillment… But is it really like that? Of course not. People decide what to share on social media, and what it can look as a “perfect life”, is just a part of the whole picture. At the end of the day, we all have our problems. So stay away from envy and live your life to the fullest.
Últimamente, con el auge de las redes sociales, uno se imagina la vida de aquellas personas a las que aspira ser como perfectas: vemos a esos jóvenes adultos (la mayoría de las veces) viajando por el mundo, teniendo una vida glamorosa, un gran éxito laboral y una aparente realización personal… Pero, ¿es realmente así? Claro que no. Uno decide qué y qué no compartir en las redes y esa “vida perfecta”, es sólo una parte del cuadro. Al final del día, todos tenemos nuestros problemas.
We pressure ourselves to have achievements as early as possible in our lives; we want success in every way possible (professional, family, personal, etc.) and before we hit 30… But for what? Is that the right thing or does it make us better?
Don’t push yourself to do things at the same pace as others; take small steps every day and you will get where you propose to.
Nos presionamos para tener logros lo más tempranamente posible en nuestras vidas; queremos el éxito en todas sus formas posibles (profesional, familiar, personal, etc.) y antes de los 30 años. ¿Para qué? ¿Eso es lo correcto o nos hace mejor?
No te presiones por hacer cosas al mismo paso que otros; tomá pequeños pasos todos los días y vas a llegar a donde te lo propongas.
Now, talking about envy… green is the color associated to it and that’s why today’s outfit is featuring this amazing She In suit.
This type of green is known as “Benetton green”, and I think is one of those colors that looks incredible on everyone.
Ahora, hablando de envidia… el verde es el color que se le asocia con ella y es por eso que el atuendo de hoy es este increíble traje de She In.
El tono de verde del mismo es el conocido como “Benetton”, y es un color que le queda bien a todos. Algo que amo de este traje, es que su tela es súper liviana, así que es perfecto para los meses más calurosos.

I dedided to wear this suit in a more casual way, so I put on this graphic tee that I got a while back from Romwe; my new pair of Asics sneakers and I added a pair of vintage sunnies from my great grandmother (’cause you know I need some sunnies). To finish the look, I wore some gold earrings that my big sister gifted to me for my birthday.
Decidí usar este traje de una manera más informal, así que me puse esta remera estampada, la cual compré en Romwe hace algún tiempo; mi nuevo par de Asics, y agregué unas gafas de sol que eran de mi bisabuela (porque ustedes saben que necesito mis anteojos de sol). Para terminar el look, usé unos aros dorados que mi hermana mayor me regaló para mi cumpleaños.
